Commands and setup

ODIN works through slash commands in your Discord server. This page lists every command with its options, who can use it and what it answers, and shows how to add ODIN and turn tracking on.

Set up ODIN in three steps

  1. Add ODIN to your server

Someone who can add apps to your server (Discord asks for the Manage Server permission) presses Add to Discord and picks the server. ODIN joins your server and asks for no permissions.

  2. Turn tracking on

Someone with the Administrator permission runs /odin enable, which turns on voice and game tracking together. Tracking starts within about a minute; time before that is not counted.

  3. Use the commands

Members use the commands below, or log in with Discord to open the dashboard for the servers they share with ODIN.

  • Public replyA message in the channel, seen by everyone who can read it.
  • Private replySeen only by you.

Leaderboards

Five commands that rank your members. Each one answers in the channel with a public message holding the top ten: a picture card by default, with your own row highlighted, or shown under the top ten when you are not in it. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, and whenever a picture cannot be made, ODIN sends the text board instead, with a line under the list that shows your own rank or says you are not on the board yet. Members with the same figure share a rank. All of them, except /streaks, take an optional timeframe.

/voice

Top members by voice time in this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/voice/voice timeframe:Last 7 Days
Options
  • timeframe optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
What you get
A picture card of the members with the most time in voice during the window: rank pills, round avatars, names, that time and a level pill. Your own row is highlighted. The picture has alt text, one line for each row. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

/levels

Top members, shown with their level.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/levels/levels timeframe:All Time/levels period:This Week
Options
  • timeframe optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
  • period optional

    • This Week
    • This Month

A calendar week (Monday to now) or month (the 1st to now) in the server's time zone, counting the XP earned in it. It replaces timeframe.

What you get
Each row of the picture card shows the member's lifetime level, as a pill whose look changes as the level grows, and their time in voice during the window. The order follows voice time in the window; the level is the one they hold today. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

/xp

Top members, shown with their XP.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/xp/xp timeframe:Last 30 Days
Options
  • timeframe optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
What you get
Each row of the picture card shows the member's lifetime XP (1 XP for every second in voice) and their level. The order follows voice time in the window; the XP is the total they have earned. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

/members

Top active members in this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/members/members timeframe:Last 24 Hours
Options
  • timeframe optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
What you get
The same voice data as /voice, under the title Top Members: each member's time in voice during the window and their level, on a picture card. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

/streaks

Top members by current daily streak.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/streaks
Options
None
What you get
Current streaks in days, each with the member's best streak, on a picture card. There is no window: it always shows who is on a streak now. A streak day is a UTC day with at least 10 minutes in voice, and missing a full UTC day ends the streak. On the text board, a last line says so when you have no streak. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

/rank

Show a member's level and rank.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/rank/rank member:@someone
Options
  • member optional

    Without it, ODIN shows you.

What you get
One picture card for one member: their level, their rank among the members who have XP (for example #3 of 120), their total XP, the progress to the next level, and the split between voice XP and chat XP. Bonus and external XP are counted in the chat figure, so the two add up to the total. You are Unranked until you have XP. For anyone else with no rank to show, including a member who opted out, ODIN only says there is no rank to show, so an opt-out cannot be told from having no data. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

Duos, trios and quads

Who spends the most time in voice together. A group is credited for the time all of its members were in the same voice channel at the same moment, and every pair, trio and quad present is credited: in a channel of five, every pair among them counts. When more than 20 people share a channel, only pairs are counted for that stretch. The boards are updated every 10 minutes, count UTC days, and never show a group with a member who opted out. They answer in Discord with the top ten, as a picture card or as the text board where an admin chose text, and with nothing about your own rank.

/duos

Top voice pairs (duos) in this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/duos/duos timeframe:Last 7 Days
Options
  • timeframe optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time

There is no Last 24 Hours option: the group boards count whole UTC days.

What you get
The pairs who shared the most time in voice. Each row of the picture card shows the two members and the time they shared; the text board joins their names with &. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

/trios

Top voice groups of three (trios) in this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/trios/trios timeframe:All Time
Options
  • timeframe optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time

There is no Last 24 Hours option: the group boards count whole UTC days.

What you get
A picture card of the groups of three who shared the most time in voice, with the three members and the time all three were in the same channel. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

/quads

Top voice groups of four (quads) in this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/quads/quads timeframe:Last 30 Days
Options
  • timeframe optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time

There is no Last 24 Hours option: the group boards count whole UTC days.

What you get
A picture card of the groups of four who shared the most time in voice, with the four members and the time all four were in the same channel. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

Game stats

What your server plays. /games ranks game titles, not people, so no member is named on it. It counts a game while a member's Discord status says Playing, and it needs game tracking, which /odin enable turns on together with voice tracking. Members who ran /odin optout are left out.

/games

Top games played in this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/games/games timeframe:Last 7 Days
Options
  • timeframe optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
What you get
The most played titles during the window, ranked by total play time across members, each with its number of sessions: the top ten, under the title Top Games. It names no member. A title is listed once at least three members have played it in the window; bot accounts are ignored. Where game tracking is off, or a server enabled ODIN before game tracking existed, it has nothing to show: /odin enable turns it on.

Message stats

Voice time and messages side by side. ODIN counts messages only: how many each member posted, never what was written. A server admin has to switch message counting on first; until then /stats still answers with the voice part and says messages are off, and /top with messages says the same. Members who ran /odin optout are never shown or counted. A free server sees the top 100 of a board; Premium shows every row. Totals since the start are shown in full on every plan.

/stats

Voice time and messages of a member, or of the whole server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/stats/stats member:@someone/stats member:@someone period:Last 7 Days/stats role:@Role
Options
  • member optional

Without it, ODIN shows the whole server.

  • period optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
  • role optional

Server view only: counts only the members who hold the role right now. Needs the member list permission; a role held by only a handful of people shows no figures.

What you get
For a member: their time in voice with their rank, and their number of messages. For the server: the total time in voice and the total messages, with how many members gave them. It answers as text in both styles; ODIN has no picture for it yet, so /odin style makes no difference here. Where message counting is off, the voice part is shown and the message part says it is off. For a member with nothing to show, including one who opted out, ODIN only says there are no stats, so an opt-out cannot be told from having no data.

/top

Top members by messages or by voice time.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/top/top metric:Voice time/top metric:Messages period:Last 7 Days/top role:@Role
Options
  • metric optional, default Messages

    • Messages
    • Voice time
  • period optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
  • role optional

Only members who hold the role right now. Needs the member list permission, and a server that is not very large.

What you get
The top ten members. By voice time it is the same board as /voice, and by messages it is the same picture card with the number of messages in each row. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead. A free server sees the top 100 at most; the reply says so when that limit applies. Where message counting is off, asking for messages answers that it is off.

/chart

Chart messages and voice time of a member or of this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/chart/chart member:@someone/chart metric:Messages granularity:By hour of day (UTC) period:Last 7 Days
Options
  • member optional

Without it, ODIN charts the whole server.

  • metric optional, default Messages and voice

    • Messages and voice
    • Messages
    • Voice
  • granularity optional, default Daily

    • Daily
    • By hour of day (UTC)

Voice time is charted per day only.

  • period optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Today (UTC)
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • Last 90 Days
    • Last 365 Days
    • All Time
What you get
One picture card with a bar or line chart for messages, for voice time in hours, or both one above the other, counted per UTC day or summed by hour of the day. It shows a total and the highest point of each chart, and never a channel. A free server sees the last 90 days at most: a longer period shows those 90 days, and the card says so. Where message counting is off, asking for messages answers that it is off, and voice still charts. A member who opted out or hides their activity details, or who has nothing to chart yet, is answered with one line saying there is nothing to chart, so none of the three can be told from another. Where an admin chose /odin style style:text, or when a picture cannot be made, ODIN answers with the text board instead.

Emoji stats

Which reaction emoji your members use. ODIN counts only the emoji on a reaction, for the member and the hour: never the message it was on, the channel or what anyone wrote. The server has to turn on the Emoji stats module first, on the dashboard; until then both commands say ODIN is not tracking. Members who ran /odin optout are never shown or counted. A free server sees the last 90 days and the top 100 of a board; Premium shows the full history.

/emoji top

The most used reaction emoji of this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/emoji top/emoji top period:Last 7 Days
Options
  • period optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
What you get
The top ten emoji, each with how many times it was used and by how many members. A custom emoji is shown as ODIN has it, so it appears only where Discord lets this server show it. It answers as text in both styles; ODIN has no picture for it yet, so /odin style makes no difference here.

/emoji member

The reaction emoji a member uses most.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/emoji member/emoji member member:@someone period:Last 7 Days
Options
  • member optional

Without it, ODIN shows your own.

  • period optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
What you get
The member's ten most used emoji and how many reactions they gave in total. A member who opted out or who hides their activity details from other members, and a member with nothing to show yet, are all answered with one sentence saying there are no emoji to show, so none of the three can be told from another. You always see your own.

Invite stats

Who brought new members to your server. ODIN notes which invite a new member used and who made it, and never anything about a message or channel. The server has to turn on the Invite tracking module first, on the dashboard; until then both commands say ODIN is not tracking. Members who ran /odin optout are never shown or counted, neither as the inviter nor as the one who joined. A free server sees the last 90 days and the top 100 of a board; Premium shows the full history.

/invites top

The members who invited the most people to this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/invites top/invites top period:Last 7 Days
Options
  • period optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
What you get
The top ten inviters, each with how many members joined through their invites and how many of those are still here. It names the inviters, as the other boards name members, and never the people they invited. Joins ODIN could not attribute to one invite are not counted for anyone.

/invites member

How many people a member invited.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Public reply

Usage
/invites member/invites member member:@someone period:Last 7 Days
Options
  • member optional

Without it, ODIN shows your own.

  • period optional, default Last 30 Days

    • Last 24 Hours
    • Last 7 Days
    • Last 30 Days
    • All Time
What you get
How many members joined through the member's invites, and how many of them are still here or have left. A member who opted out and a member who invited nobody are both answered with one sentence saying there are no invites to show, so neither can be told from the other.

Tracking and privacy

The /odin commands turn voice and game tracking on and off for a server, choose how its boards answer, and let every member decide what ODIN keeps and shows about them. Every /odin reply is private: only the person who ran the command sees it.

/odin enable

Turn voice and game tracking on for this server.

Who can use it: Administrator permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/odin enable
Options
None
What you get
Voice tracking and game tracking come on together. Tracking is off in every server until someone runs this. It starts within about a minute, and members already in voice start counting then. Time before that is not counted, and there is no backfill. A server that enabled ODIN before game tracking existed runs it once more to include games. Without the Administrator permission, you get a private refusal.

/odin disable

Turn voice and game tracking off for this server.

Who can use it: Administrator permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/odin disable
Options
None
What you get
ODIN stops recording new voice time and game activity for the server. What it already recorded is kept, and /odin enable turns tracking back on. Without the Administrator permission, you get a private refusal.

/odin status

Show whether voice and game tracking are on in this server.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/odin status
Options
None
What you get
The server name, whether tracking is enabled and whether game activity is enabled, with a hint for the command that switches it the other way. A server that turned tracking on before game tracking existed is told to run /odin enable again. It answers with a picture card, or as text where an admin chose /odin style style:text. The first thing to check when time or games are not counting.

/odin style

Choose whether ODIN answers with pictures or with text in this server.

Who can use it: Administrator permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/odin style style:image/odin style style:text
Options
  • style required

    • image
    • text

Every server starts with image, the picture cards. Text brings back the plain text boards.

What you get
Switches the board commands and /odin status of this server between picture cards and text boards. Without the Administrator permission, you get a private refusal.

/odin optout

Hide yourself from this server's boards and stop tracking your voice time, games, messages and reactions.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/odin optout
Options
None
What you get
It only ever acts on you. You disappear from every board, profile and statistic in this server, /games included, and ODIN stops tracking you there: your voice time, your games, your messages and your reactions. What was recorded before is kept but not shown. /odin optin reverses it.

/odin optin

Show yourself on this server's boards again and let ODIN track you.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/odin optin
Options
None
What you get
It only ever acts on you. You are back on the boards and in the statistics, and ODIN tracks your voice time and games again whenever tracking is on for the server (see /odin status).

/odin privacy

Choose whether other members see your activity details on the website.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/odin privacy details:hide/odin privacy details:show
Options
  • details required

    • show
    • hide

Hide covers your activity patterns, calendar, record dates, streak history, first and last days and recent session details. Your name, rank, voice time, level and streak stay visible.

What you get
The choice applies in every server and only changes what other members see on the website. It does not stop tracking, of voice time or of games: /odin optout does that. You always see all of your own details.

/odin public

Choose whether you are named on this server's public leaderboard.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/odin public choice:on/odin public choice:off/odin public choice:status
Options
  • choice required

    • on
    • off
    • status

On lists you, off takes you off at once, and status says whether you are listed and whether this server has published a page. The default is off.

What you get
It only ever acts on you, in this server. A server can publish a public page, but it never names you unless you chose /odin public choice:on: then its leaderboard shows your display name, your avatar and your message and voice totals there, and nothing else. Turning it off removes you from the next page render. Opting out with /odin optout takes you off the list too, and you cannot be listed while opted out.

/privacy erase

Ask ODIN to erase everything it stores about you.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/privacy erase
Options
None
What you get
It only ever acts on you, and nothing happens until you press the Erase my data button. Everything ODIN stores about you is deleted, in every server: your voice time, levels and XP, streaks, badges and records, your games, your Together history, your idle game progress, your theme and account settings, and your website sign-in. A moderation case about you stays as a minimal record (what happened, when, and the reason the moderator wrote), notes about you are deleted, and your /odin optout switch stays so you are not tracked again. It is done within 15 minutes and it cannot be undone. Run it again while a request is open and it shows that request's status. You can also do it on your Account page on the website.

Moderation

Moderator commands, for members with the matching permission (Moderate Members, Kick Members or Ban Members), and only where a server turned on the Moderation module in the dashboard. Every answer is private, and every action gets a numbered case in that server.

/warn

Warn a member and record a case.

Who can use it: Moderate Members permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/warn member:@someone reason:Spam
Options
  • member required

  • reason required

What you get
Records a warning as the next case and answers with its number. ODIN also sends the member a direct message with the reason, unless the server turned that off; a closed direct message never stops the warning. It refuses the server owner, yourself, ODIN and anyone whose highest role is the same as or above yours.

/note

Leave a private moderator note on a member.

Who can use it: Moderate Members permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/note member:@someone text:Asked for a timeout
Options
  • member required

  • text required

What you get
Saves a note that only moderators see. It is not a case, has no number and does nothing in Discord.

/case

Show one moderation case.

Who can use it: Moderate Members permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/case number:12
Options
  • number required

What you get
The case with that number in this server: the action, the member, the moderator, the reason and when it happened.

/cases

List a member's moderation cases.

Who can use it: Moderate Members permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/cases member:@someone/cases member:@someone page:2
Options
  • member required

  • page optional

What you get
Ten cases a page, newest first, each with its number, action, date, moderator and the start of the reason.

/timeout

Time a member out and record a case.

Who can use it: Moderate Members permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/timeout member:@someone duration:2h reason:Cool off
Options
  • member required

  • duration required

  • reason required

What you get
Mutes the member for the time you give, from 1 minute to 28 days, written like 30m, 2h, 7d or 1w. The case is recorded only after Discord accepts the timeout, and its number is in the answer. It refuses the server owner, yourself, ODIN, anyone whose highest role is the same as or above yours, and anyone ODIN's own role cannot reach.

/kick

Kick a member and record a case.

Who can use it: Kick Members permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/kick member:@someone reason:Ignored the rules
Options
  • member required

  • reason required

What you get
Removes the member from the server; they can come back with a new invite. ODIN sends them a direct message with the reason first, unless the server turned that off, and a closed direct message never stops the kick. The case is recorded only after Discord accepts it. The same refusals as /timeout apply.

/ban

Ban a member and record a case.

Who can use it: Ban Members permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/ban member:@someone reason:Spam/ban member:@someone reason:Spam delete_days:1
Options
  • member required

  • reason required

  • delete_days optional

What you get
Bans the member, and with delete_days (0 to 7, default 0) also deletes their messages from that many days. They get a direct message with the reason first, unless the server turned that off. It says so if they are already banned, and records the case only after Discord accepts the ban. The same refusals as /timeout apply.

/unban

Lift a ban and record a case.

Who can use it: Ban Members permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/unban user:@someone reason:Appeal accepted
Options
  • user required

  • reason required

What you get
Lets a banned user join again with a new invite. It says so if they are not banned. The case is recorded only after Discord accepts it.

Check on ODIN

/ping

Check that ODIN is alive.

Who can use it: AnyoneWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/ping
Options
None
What you get
Pong, with ODIN's connection latency to Discord in milliseconds and its build.

/status

Check which build of ODIN is running and the settings it uses for this server.

Who can use it: Manage Server permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/status
Options
None
What you get
The build, ODIN's connection latency to Discord, the modules enabled in this server, the timezone and the channel ODIN posts system messages to. They are the settings of the dashboard, as ODIN uses them now.

/setup

Open the guided setup for this server.

Who can use it: Manage Server permissionWhere it answers: Private reply

Usage
/setup
Options
None
What you get
Where this server is in the guided setup (not started, in progress, done or skipped) and the link to it in the dashboard. The setup itself happens on the website: you pick what ODIN should do, see what will change, and apply it in one step. ODIN also sends this link once to the person who adds it to a server.

Troubleshooting

The bot says No data found for this server

Tracking is off for the server, which is how every server starts. Someone with the Administrator permission runs /odin enable, and ODIN starts counting within about a minute. Time before that is not counted.

The board says No data yet for this time period

Tracking is on, but nobody has time in voice inside that window yet. Join a voice channel, or try a longer timeframe such as Last 30 Days or All Time.

/games shows nothing

Game tracking may be off. Someone with the Administrator permission runs /odin enable, which turns voice and game tracking on together, and a server that enabled ODIN before game tracking existed runs it again. /odin status shows whether game activity is enabled. A title is listed only once at least three members have played it in the window, so try Last 30 Days or All Time, and only the Playing status counts.

The boards answer as text, not as a picture

An admin may have chosen text with /odin style style:text; they bring the pictures back with /odin style style:image. ODIN also sends the text board when it cannot make a picture.

The commands do not show up

Discord lets a server limit who sees an app's commands: in Server Settings, open Integrations, choose ODIN and check its command permissions. Except /ping, the commands work only inside a server, not in direct messages.

My time is not counting

Run /odin status. If tracking is disabled, someone with the Administrator permission runs /odin enable. If tracking is on, you may have opted out of this server: run /odin optin and ODIN tracks you again from then on.

Someone wants to leave the boards

They run /odin optout themselves. They disappear from the boards, /games and the statistics, and ODIN stops tracking their voice time and games in that server. To ask for data to be removed, see the privacy page.

Ready when you are

Add ODIN, have an administrator run /odin enable, and your first leaderboard is one command away.
